PaiR v0.46.0

Features

  • Claude Code now receives messages from other sessions straight in its conversation, even when idle, and gets dedicated tools to send and answer them.
  • Direct messages can carry images, Markdown and PDF documents, or be ephemeral. Your history is kept, with read / unread state, search and a notification on arrival.
  • Share a session with chosen peers on your network: it appears in their Sessions panel and graph, they can cable it and message it, and you decide whether incoming messages are injected or ignored.
  • An optional status line above Claude Code's prompt shows the session, its ticket, its cables and the last message received (Settings > Terminal).
  • Closing a ticket records what it cost in API-equivalent terms, for reference.
  • PaiR guards your agents: pushing code before the tracker, or committing tracker files with code, is blocked before it happens.
  • Mermaid diagrams are drawn in the Markdown reader and in comments, and the project information shows the Git repository URL.

Bug fixes

  • A session's ticket is shown the same way everywhere: tab, header, Sessions list and graph.
  • Replies always reach their sender, including across the network, and the network comes back on its own after sleep.
  • Removing a project closes its sessions, and Focus AI Session works on Linux and Windows.
  • On Linux, a screenshot can be pasted in a message.

macOS

Unsigned app. On first install only, run:

xattr -cr /Applications/PaiR.app

Local network access (macOS 27+): each update resets the macOS "Local Network" permission for PaiR, so its terminals can no longer reach machines on your LAN while the Internet still works. If you rely on LAN hosts, re-sign the app after each update with your own self-signed certificate:

codesign --force --deep -s "PaiR SelfSigned" /Applications/PaiR.app

Windows

Unsigned installer. If SmartScreen blocks it, click "More info" then "Run anyway". On a company computer, IT approval may be required.
