PaiR v0.47.0

Features

  • Direct messages and session messages awaiting your approval now each have their own sound, chosen in Settings > Notifications. Three new sounds join the list: Pop, Chimes and Knock knock.
  • Give each project a logo or an emoji to spot it at a glance in the project list, the Sessions panel, the graph and terminal tabs.
  • Forward a ticket to a peer by direct message, with its comments and optionally its attachments. They import it into their project in one click.
  • Zoom a single terminal to read it from afar next to the others, with the buttons in its badge or ⌘+ / ⌘- / ⌘0.
  • Quitting the app tells you how many terminal sessions will be lost and can close its tmux sessions too.
  • Print an image fitted to the page from the image viewer.
  • With automatic handshake, the session that starts a cable conversation only auto-accepts replies to its own messages: any other message from a remote session waits for your approval.

Bug fixes

  • The default notification sound you chose is now really played (it always fell back to the bell).
  • A session launched outside PaiR in the same folder is no longer mistaken for the PaiR session.
  • Selecting text in a terminal lands on the right line when the window is zoomed.
  • Two project folders whose names differ only by case get distinct ticket prefixes, and removing a project also removes it from the catalog.

macOS

Unsigned app. On first install only, run:

xattr -cr /Applications/PaiR.app

Local network access (macOS 27+): each update resets the macOS "Local Network" permission for PaiR, so its terminals can no longer reach machines on your LAN while the Internet still works. If you rely on LAN hosts, re-sign the app after each update with your own self-signed certificate:

codesign --force --deep -s "PaiR SelfSigned" /Applications/PaiR.app

Windows

Unsigned installer. If SmartScreen blocks it, click "More info" then "Run anyway". On a company computer, IT approval may be required.
