   Chrome & Blood is a hardcore, lore-conscious Cyberpunk 2077 overhaul that reworks nearly every core system, including but not limited to enemy AI and combat, inventory UI, progression, cyberware, weapons, and vehicles. Where similar modlists might focus more heavily on cosmetics / visuals, Chrome & Blood leans into brutal difficulty, meaningful gear choices, and build diversity. Faction balance, enemy reinforcements, and progression are tightly tuned to create a high-stakes and deadly Night City experience where upgrades feel earned and death has teeth. It’s an unforgiving overhaul of Night City, where becoming a legend takes more than just chrome.

Chrome and Blood Review

Featured Criteria

The list appears to meet all featured criteria established by Wabbajack. It has been available as an unofficial list on Nexus with consistent support, and Chrome and Blood files are not opted into DP on the Nexus page. Discord support is active and responsive, with most common issues documented in the readme (clean installation requirements). The readme is comprehensive and well formatted with color-coded alerts, making installation requirements clear: the Phantom Liberty requirement and the need for the latest Cyberpunk version. Prerequisites like VCRedist, graphics drivers, DirectX, and .NET are clearly linked for easy access.

The modlist looks to be well curated, thought is put into gameplay balance (the curator has made several mods along those lines) and mods are considered when added to list rather than thrown in.

Testing

Gameplay testing (approximately 3 hours) showed stable performance with no crashes (from regular gameplay). Testing included:

• Several gigs and NCPD activities
• Driving around
• Walking around

Some clothing options from Virtual Atelier (specifically in Nola Dreamer and a few other categories) are gender-locked and will crash the game if selected by the opposite gender. This isn't currently noted in the documentation, but is a known issue with some clothing mods implementation (by the modders, not the modlist curator).

MO2 Default View

The MO2 installation defaults to showing the downloads folder in the right pane rather than the data directory

UI Color Choice

The white color for objectives (NCPD chests, access points, etc.) feels somewhat unintuitive after being used to vanilla's yellow objective markers

Mystery "Booty" Folder

There's a folder labeled "booty" in the data directory containing what appear to be clothing mods from author Peachu. Can't tell if these are working or not.

"Hidden" Text Files

There's several crossed out text files in the data directory on the right pane in MO2. Unsure if the goal was to hide these completely but they're there, just x'd out.

Featured Recommendation

Seems in line with the other featured Cyberpunk lists. Would recommend approving.
