GitMCP v0.1.0

First release of GitMCP, a GitHub MCP server for AI assistants.

Read tools (14): repository search/metadata/contents/file reading, code search, issues and comments,
pull requests (files, reviews), commits.
Write tools (4, off by default): create issue, comment, branch, pull request. Enabled only with
GITHUB_ENABLE_WRITE_TOOLS=true.

Reliability and safety: bounded retries with backoff and jitter, Retry-After handling, typed errors,
response-size limits, strict input validation, token redaction.

Install: python -m pip install git+https://github.com/wablevaibhav/gitmcp@v0.1.0
Requires Python 3.11+. See the README for Claude Code and Claude Desktop setup.

Quality: 112 tests passing, ruff and mypy --strict clean.
