Creating and Managing Jobs
Open Create Job from the navigation bar.
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Job name | Free text, shown in lists and webhook messages |
| Hashes | Paste into the editor (with line numbers) or upload a file (up to 50 MB). Whitespace, Windows line endings, UTF-8 BOMs, and zero-width characters are stripped from every line. |
| Hash mode | Search by number or name and pick from the dropdown. Typed text that is not a selection is rejected. |
| Wordlist | Pick a preset from wordlists_path, or upload a custom wordlist (up to 100 MB). Presets are sorted largest first. |
| Rulesets | Optional. Pick from the dropdown; click + to add more. Each one is passed as a separate -r to hashcat. Clearing a field removes that ruleset. |
| Disable potfile | By default each worker first reports any hashes already in its hashcat potfile (--show), then cracks the rest. Checking this runs hashcat with --potfile-disable instead. |
| Username mode | Adds --username for user:hash input. Do not use it on hash formats that naturally contain colons. |
| Webhook URL | Optional. See Webhooks. |
When you submit, the job is divided among every online worker. Workers that come online later do not join an existing job.
Jobs with hash mode 1000 (NTLM) and more than 300 hashes are flagged as NTDS dumps. The flag is used to keep large domain dumps out of analytics by default.
Use Copy on the jobs list or the job details page. The create form opens pre-filled with the original name, hash mode, wordlist, rulesets, options, webhook URL, and hashes. Change anything before submitting. A field that looks empty is submitted empty.
If a ruleset from the original job no longer exists on the server, it is dropped and a warning names it.
The job details page refreshes automatically and shows:
- Overall progress, cracked count, and a cracked/uncracked chart
- Per-worker status, progress bar, speed, and time remaining
- Failure reasons from workers (hashcat errors, NFS problems)
- Paginated cracked results (50 per page); empty passwords display as
[BLANK PASSWORD]
Time remaining is the average across workers that are actually running; queued workers are excluded.
From the Export menu on the job details page:
| Export | Contents |
|---|---|
| CSV, cracked only | Hash, password, recovery time |
| CSV, all hashes | Every submitted hash, with password where cracked |
| DPAT potfile |
hash:password, NTLM (mode 1000) jobs only, ready for DPAT |
- Cancel stops the job on all workers and cleans up its chunks, custom wordlist, and potfile.
- Delete removes the job and its results. Analytics for the job are kept.
Regular users see and act on only their own jobs. Admins can switch the jobs list to all users with the toggle next to the search box.
