New

  • Automatic updates from GitHub. WordPress now discovers new releases of this plugin on the normal Plugins → Updates screen, using core's native Update URI mechanism pointed at this repository — no external update service. (This is the last version you'll need to install by hand.)
  • Social sharing cards. Single video pages emit Open Graph and Twitter player tags, so links shared to Facebook, X, or chat apps unfurl as playable video cards. If Yoast, Rank Math, SEOPress, or AIOSEO is active, the plugin only adds the video tags those plugins don't produce. Customize or suppress via the svc_social_meta filter.
  • Google video sitemap at /video-sitemap.xml — thumbnails, durations, and publication dates for every published video, advertised in robots.txt. Submit it in Search Console to be eligible for video rich results.

  • Plugin updates now also flush rewrite rules automatically, so new URLs (like the sitemap) work immediately after updating.

Install parish-video-center.zip below — future versions arrive through the WordPress updates screen.
