v0.4.0: Enduro HUD & climb profiles!
What's Changed
✨ New
- Enduro HUD template: a new bundled overlay. Its unit labels follow your metric/imperial setting instead of being fixed text
- Band-colored plots: color an elevation profile by gradient for a TdF-style climb profile, or by power or heart rate. Course maps can color the route line too. Includes a band editor with starter bands for each metric
- Distance-based x-axis for elevation and other charts, so climbs are drawn to scale instead of stretched by slow sections
- W/kg metric, with a prompt for your rider weight wherever W/kg would otherwise show 0 (export dialog, preview, element properties)
- Custom metrics: extra numeric fields your device records (g-force, core temperature, Connect IQ developer fields, etc.) now appear as metrics in value, plot, meter and color-by pickers
- Running totals: total distance and running elevation gain/loss metrics
- Vertical ride-summary template (
strava) for portrait output - Compact units setting: show "kmh" instead of "km/h"
💅 Improvements
- Uses the speed your device recorded when the file includes it (FIT, GPX, TCX), and smooths GPS-derived speed to remove jitter
- Snapping when dragging elements on the canvas, and better unit handling
- Better custom font support
- Much faster editing on large rides: the activity file is parsed once and cached instead of being re-parsed on every change
- Plain background behind the preview canvas
🐛 Fixes
- Renders no longer slow to a crawl when Cyclemetry is in the background on macOS (App Nap)
- The window can be dragged while a dialog is open
- Distance x-axis now handles flat rides, indoor rides and metric switches
- Fixed the aspect ratio of the vertical ride-summary template
⚠️ Note
The Enduro HUD template in the template gallery needs v0.4.0. Older versions show Template parse error: missing field 'text' (#47).
