v2.1.0 — escape every widget attribute, and verify by reading them back out

An apostrophe in a data-opts label closes that single-quoted attribute early and the widget loop throws. Measured in Chromium on this repo's own seven-widget demo page: 4 of 7 widgets survive if it hits the fifth, 0 of 7 if it hits the first, and copyBtn.onclick is never assigned either way — the page keeps its text and its textareas and can no longer hand anything back.

A raw " in data-q is quieter: the title truncates with no error at all, all seven widgets stay alive, the copy button stays wired, and the reviewer's decision comes back as - [SHIP] #18 — Rename the .

New in this release

  • The escape rule for all three attributes — & → & first, then ' → ' for data-opts and " → " for data-q/data-id.
  • A verification step that reads the attributes back out and checks their shape, not just that they parse. null, {}, 0, "approve" and [] are all valid JSON and all leave the page broken.
  • Piece 4 — an on-screen banner when a widget rendered no chips or the copy dock is unwired, as the last script block so a throw in either of the others cannot suppress it.
  • The Node navigator trap: it is a getter with no setter, so a harness's fake clipboard is silently discarded on Node 22+ (it works on Node 20), and a fallback test passes having never reached the clipboard path.
  • The reusable lesson: a checker that validates the page cannot see a broken attribute value.

Also fixed — the README advertised git clone … ~/.claude/skills/promptback as "always works"; SKILL.md is nested and the suite forbids a root copy, so that clone left a directory with no SKILL.md in it.

37 tests pass. Version bumped in all five places the repo records it; the README changelog had gone stale at 1.1.0 and is backfilled.

The skill formerly known as interactive-feedback-report is now promptback — feedback that comes back as a prompt.

  • New install string: /plugin marketplace add wan-huiyan/promptback then /plugin install promptback@wan-huiyan-promptback
  • Old GitHub URLs redirect automatically; existing clones keep working
  • No functional changes — identifier rename only (plugin dir, marketplace name, skill frontmatter, README, tests)
