W&B v0.75 enhances Registry with a new Restricted Viewer role, SCIM API support, and the ability to star registries. The new automation execution history view helps you understand and debug your automations. Visualize config-driven effects with semantic coloring by config properties such as hyperparameters, view full-fidelity plots for system metrics, and more.

Support and end of life

  • W&B Server v0.61 and below reached end of life on October 28, 2025.
  • W&B Server v0.63 is scheduled to reach end of life on November 26, 2025.

A W&B Server release is supported for 12 months from its initial release date. As a reminder, customers using Self-managed are responsible to upgrade to a supported release in time to maintain support.

Refer to Release policies and processes. For assistance or questions, contact support.

Upcoming changes

In the next W&B Server release, we'll roll out an update to workspace navigation that makes moving between multi-run and single-run workspaces easier—see this preview video.

Part of this change is included in Server v0.75: the left sidebar now indicates whether you are viewing the Project or a single Run. This upcoming navigation change coincides with a unification of single-run and multi-run saved views, so that changes to plots and layouts in one carry over to the other to save repetitive configuration. As part of this change, existing single-run saved views will be lost, and you will need to recreate the ones you still need.

Security

  • You can configure the federated identity audience by setting the environment variable FEDERATED_AUTH_AUDIENCES to a comma-separated list of audiences. The audience specifies allowable recipients for the identity token.

Features

  • Registry access control updates:

    • Programmatic registry access control: Registry roles are now included in the SCIM schema. While creating or updating a user, you can configure their Registry roles, and Registry roles are returned when you retrieve a user.
    • Restrict Registry access: Where you don't want to grant full Registry access, you can now grant a new Registry role, Restricted Viewer. This role provides read-only access to registry artifacts without the ability to create, update, or delete collections, automations, or other registry resources. This is useful for sensitive or regulated registry content.
    • Expanded Registry access: Now, any user with the Models Viewer role is also a full Registry Member, so they can browse, compare, and use models and artifacts by default. A Models Viewer can be assigned a different Registry role, like Restricted Viewer, Viewer, or Admin. This unlocks full Registry value for everyone in your organization.
  • Starred registries: To help you navigate Registry as you scale, you can now star registries. From the Registry landing page, hover over a registry's card, then click the star outline. From an individual registry page, click the star outline at the top of the page. Starred registries appear at the top of the Registry landing page in alphabetical order.

    Starred registries

  • Automation execution history: View execution history for your project or registry Automations from the Automation history tab. All automation runs display in reverse chronological order, with status and key details at a glance. To help you understand and debug automations, a detailed view shows the execution's conditions, actions, and results.

  • In the Organization dashboard, you can now invite multiple users to your organization at once by specifying a comma-separated list of email addresses, and you can optionally add the invited users to teams at the same time.

  • Semantic legend updates:

    • Semantic legends for runs now support coloring plots based on config values such as hyperparameters. Visualize config-driven effects by coloring runs based on a chosen hyperparameter like learning rate, batch size, or model family to visually spot config-driven effects.

      Semantic legend config coloring

    • You can now configure semantic legends when viewing another user's workspace.

  • The new full-screen image browser simplifies inspection and comparison of logged images. Previously available only in Dedicated Cloud, the feature is now also available in Self-Managed.

    • True full-Screen view: Inspect image details more easily with edge-to-edge full-screen viewing. No more cramped panels.
    • Step slider in full-screen view: Move through steps efficiently with an embedded slider to see how outputs evolve.
    • Quickly move through runs or steps: In full-screen view, use the keyboard left / right arrow keys to move through runs, and use Cmd + left / right arrow (macOS) or Ctrl + left / right arrow (Windows / Linux) to move through steps of the same image.
  • Full-fidelity rendering for system metrics: Charts for system metrics, like GPU, CPU, or memory, have a new detailed rendering mode that preserves fine-grained signal for deep inspection and analysis.

  • Run history export to Parquet has been improved. Now run history export is asynchronous by default in all deployments. Also, when exporting run history, if a run has not been logged in 7 or more days and after history about the run has been completely exported, history about the run is automatically dropped from MySQL.

Fixes

  • You can now toggle the Show original line plot setting for all plots in the workspace or a section.
  • Fixed a bug in Reports where pinning all columns in the run selector could break the report's layout.
  • Fixed a bug where a pinned column could be expanded beyond the boundaries of the run selector.
  • Fixed a bug where changing the run name while also editing the Notes field could revert the run name change.
  • Fixed a bug where incorrect values could appear when plotting grouped runs with the X axis set to Relative Wall Time.
  • Fixed a bug where group pagination controls were missing.
  • Fixed a bug where a report could not be published if BYOB storage is configured with S3-compatible storage configured with a bucket subpath. This impacts CoreWeave AI Object Storage, Amazon S3 storage, and S3-compatible storage like MinIO.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent a system metrics chart from loading if smoothing is turned on.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent a chart with multiple Y axes from loading if smoothing is turned on.
  • In full-fidelity mode, line plot tooltips now show min and max bounds.
  • The hover highlight interaction has been improved for grouped run plots.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent a grouped plot from rendering if the X-axis name is a substring of the Y axis name.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause hidden or deselected runs to appear as gray points instead of being hidden.
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent a media panel from opening in full screen if you would need to scroll to view it.
  • To help you visualize spikes in line plots with dense comparisons more clearly, the min and max shading in line plots has been improved.
  • To efficiently recover from deep tweaks or experiments, you can now revert the X axis in the line plot editor.
  • Fixed a bug where the access type for a core registry could be set incorrectly if the registry was created during artifact linking. This bug could cause membership management issues and prevent the registry from functioning.
