v0.3.0
Wombat v0.3.0
This stable release brings local Codex usage analysis and configuration review into your existing conversation through a Codex plugin, with a Web dashboard for detailed evidence.
Highlights
- Install Wombat and its Codex plugin together, then ask questions about usage and project configuration in your existing Codex conversation. Open a Web view for the same project and data version.
- Investigate usage increases through task and period comparisons, input trajectories, cache reuse, repeated requests, compaction comparisons and resource records.
- Review AGENTS.md, Skills, MCP entries and Hooks for format issues, local references, Hook targets, duplicate instruction blocks and other supported checks. Review recommendations, authorize selected changes and rerun the same checks.
- Read native Codex allowance observations and stored history separately from local token usage and estimated API costs.
- Optionally collect native Hook observations through the collection plugin. Inspect project-scoped event receipts and pause or resume collection; historical log reading remains available without it.
- Keep displayed numbers aligned with the selected Chinese or English language, including compact Token values. English count labels now use singular wording for one task, suggestion, session, operation or response.

Known limitations
- Codex is the only production data source in this release; support for other agents is planned.
- API costs are estimates. Unpriced or partial data stays explicit and is separate from subscription allowance.
- Older snapshot or index formats can be rejected without migration. Preserve the original data directory and its user decisions. A different WOMBAT_DATA_HOME creates an isolated store; it does not repair the old store or transfer its decisions.
- Timing describes recorded activity and can be partial or provisional. It does not establish why work was slow, code quality, token savings, or model performance.
- A sharing summary removes direct identifiers but does not guarantee anonymity. Preview it before sharing.
- Large first reads can still take time. Native Codex plugin discovery and Hook registration require a compatible local Codex. Windows Hook collection remains unverified.
Verification and security
All five archives were built and exercised on their target platforms from commit 8bc1c79ada21390acd295be031df522bae50c991. Installers and updates verify the published size and SHA-256 digest before switching versions. GitHub provides build provenance attestations for the platform archives. Wombat reads local sources without changing them; network behavior and native handoff follow the documented privacy boundaries.
