StateLayout 1.1.0 restores active maintenance of the Android View state container.

Highlights

  • Configure content, empty, error, loading, and initial state directly in XML.
  • Preserve the selected state across Android view recreation.
  • Keep the established Java API and Android API 8 minimum compatibility.
  • Replace the retired JCenter/Bintray toolchain with a current Gradle, Android Gradle Plugin, AndroidX, and SDK setup.
  • Add 10 Robolectric regression tests, zero-issue Android lint, GitHub Actions CI, and verified local Maven publication metadata.
  • Add contribution, security, conduct, changelog, roadmap, and release documentation.

Installation

Download statelayout-1.1.0.aar, place it in your app module's libs directory, and add:

dependencies {
    implementation files('libs/statelayout-1.1.0.aar')
}

Maven Central publication is not included in this release and remains tracked in #8. Do not use the planned Central coordinate until the README confirms that it resolves publicly.

Verification

  • Full test, lint, debug/release assembly, and local publication gate passed.
  • A clean external consumer resolved io.github.wangyuyan666:statelayout:1.1.0 from Maven Local and assembled successfully.
