PR Build 4.7.0-dev with C# Interop optimization (f8c1aee) - Fixed Built-In .NET Types
Pre-releaseFor anyone who wants to quickly test the C# interop performance improvements of my branch pull-requests/optimize-csharp-interop and doesn't want to compile it himself (and trusts me enough), here are the binaries built from this branch.
Fixes
- This release fixes a bug which caused errors in some edge cases. This was due to routing C++ calls through C# back again to C++, which makes no sense and causes issues. This is now fixed: C# types only pick up aliases (C++ names) but ignore the C# wrapper methods.
Install
Download the assets below and add the NuGet packages to a local folder and add that folder to your list of NuGet repositories (see here on how to do that).
Running the Engine
Extract the GodotEditorWithGodotSharp.zip file to a folder you like. This has (now) all required files Godot editor files in the right relative places (mainly GodotSharp folder).
Tip
Open and run your game from within the Godot editor or run it using the command line godot.windows.editor.x86_64.mono.exe --path .
Important
Ensure that in the .csproj of your game the SDK is Godot.NET.Sdk/4.7.0-dev!
Please provide feedback in the PR godotengine#116305
Thank you.
Tip
GodotSharp is compiled with MS Build property true. This is suggested also for the game to see the full impact.
