• Verified migration evidence and independent-destination recovery binding.
• Immutable source originals and provenance, separate destination identities,
  existing SQL authority and conservative engine-specific restoration guards.
• Explicit migration CLI and standalone read-only source export tools.
• Fix native privacy uploads returning stale filesize witnesses after synchronous
  anonymization and the caller's final WordPress metadata write.
• No schema, stored policy or image-engine generation reset; no automatic
  migration, processing of old media, or permanent purge.

The stable runtime differs from the certified rc.2 only in version identifiers
and documentation. Local certification and a private real-host pilot verified
upgrade, recovery, exact restoration, uploads and normal processing. Supported
host/migration limits remain in docs/MIGRATION.md; this is not universal host or
multisite certification.

Install/update by native ZIP replacement, not uninstall/reinstall. Back up the
database, uploads and private recovery storage first. A verified bound rc.2
installation keeps its identity and proofs. Do not downgrade a bound site to
0.6.1, which lacks destination-binding verification.

No old release artifact is replaced.

Maintenance release for verified physical aliases in metadata anonymization.

• A master and a view may legitimately refer to one physical file. Pixel verifies and anonymizes that file once while retaining all logical roles and public references.
• Metadata-only transactions reconcile integrity witnesses through the existing InnoDB compare-and-swap lifecycle. Recovery restores exact original references.
• Conflicting ownership, hashes, dimensions, SQL rows and claims remain fail-closed. Ordinary JPEG master replacement protections are unchanged.
• Already-clean public graphs create no unnecessary job or encoding.
• No schema, recovery-format, policy or engine-identity changes. Existing private.1 states are compatible. Installation does not process existing images.

Validation: certified private.1 suite 1801 assertions; real controlled pilot and 37 subsequent JPEG imports; fresh stable gates 748 metadata assertions, 11 updater assertions and 48 runtime PHP lint checks. The 64 functional runtime files match the certified private.1 package exactly.

PHP orders the nonstandard private suffix above stable. For private.1 -> 0.6.1 use WordPress's native ZIP replacement. Official 0.6.0 installations receive the stable updater offer normally.

Metadata privacy for WordPress images

• Remove recognized GPS, device, author and date metadata without re-encoding JPEG/PNG image data.
• Handle the public master and its derivatives together, preserving pixels, orientation, dimensions, ICC and required color information.
• Keep exact originals privately recoverable, with whole-graph restore available.
• Automatically anonymize safe new native WordPress image uploads by default. Explicit OFF is preserved; the existing library is never processed automatically.
• Leave unsupported orientation, provenance or unknown metadata unchanged for review.
• Preserve WordPress title, alternative text, caption and description.
• No automatic permanent purge. Private recovery originals retain their original metadata.

Requires WordPress 6.6+ and PHP 8.1+. Tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Adds the built-in repository-bound GitHub stable manifest, one explicitly validated GitHub release-asset redirect, strict host/repository validation and oversized/truncated manifest rejection. Explicit private manifest overrides remain isolated. Image optimization, quality profiles, media state and recovery behavior are unchanged. Existing 0.5.0 installations require verified native ZIP replacement or their existing private feed once; subsequent stable releases use the built-in channel. • Optional, explicit single-image PNG to JPEG conversion with local comparison.
• Original PNG retained for exact restoration until separately confirmed deletion.
• Measured Web Q90, Bonne qualite Q94 and Meilleure qualite Q98 profiles.
• Recommend the lightest available profile passing Pixel quality guards. If none
  passes, there is no automatic selection. More aggressive manual choices need
  a warning, comparison and extra explicit acknowledgement enforced server-side.
• Provenance loss requires independent approval. Native WordPress metadata,
  derivatives and compatible old PNG references are handled coherently.
• Safer fenced reconciliation of proven unstarted historical review claims.
• No automatic PNG to JPEG conversion; updating the plugin does not process media.

Install the ZIP through the normal WordPress plugin upload/replacement workflow.
Back up first; do not uninstall to update. Existing private.N builds require
manual ZIP replacement rather than an automatic update-row offer.

Installation

Download wp-seed-pixel-0.3.0.zip below and install it through WordPress Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. GitHub Source code archives are not the installable plugin package.

Validation and limitations

The final release ZIP passed 150 checks: 150 PASS, 0 FAIL, 0 SKIP. Tested with WordPress 7.1.2, PHP 8.4.23, GD, Windows, SQLite and Chrome, including installation, activation, settings, Media Library, manual and bulk processing, regeneration, deactivation and reactivation.

Imagick, Linux/MySQL, multisite and deep coexistence with other optimizers are not fully certified. Bulk processing requires the page to remain open. Accessibility validation is partial; this release is not a claim of complete accessibility conformance. See the repository compatibility documentation for supported formats and further limits.
