Slate v0.3.2
The About Slate menu item now opens the full in-app About — brand art, real version, clickable wassermanproductions.com / wasserman.ai, and the ♥ Support on Ko-fi button — instead of the bare macOS system panel. Works from any screen, not just Home.
Install (macOS, one line):
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wassermanproductions/slate/main/install.sh | bashSlate v0.3.1
Support links inside the app: ♥ Support on Ko-fi plus clickable wassermanproductions.com and wasserman.ai in the About panel, the Help footer, and the Slate + Help menus. The About panel now always shows the real version.
Install (macOS, one line):
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wassermanproductions/slate/main/install.sh | bashSlate v0.3.0
Slate v0.3.0 — the Stills Library.
Install (macOS, one line):
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wassermanproductions/slate/main/install.sh | bash- Stills Library (Refs tab): scan your dailies for circled takes — Slate reads your Circle Take projects directly, select windows and all — or add any clip, extract sharp stills locally with ffmpeg, and pin them to a character, location, or look. Sheets keep their stills as a continuity strip.
- Stills-aware casting: ✦ Fill on a sheet with pinned stills sends them to the brain, so it describes the person you actually shot — face, hair, wardrobe as filmed — instead of inventing someone new.
- Also in this line: the spec-bar target model picker and the MiniMax H3 Deliver crash fix from v0.2.1, plus the local-model brain and official Seedance 2.5 / MiniMax H3 prompt grammars from v0.2.0.
92 tests, including live ffmpeg extraction and dailies-discovery suites.
Slate v0.2.1
Slate v0.2.1 — crash fix and a spec-bar model picker.
Install (macOS, one line):
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wassermanproductions/slate/main/install.sh | bash- Fixed: opening Deliver with MiniMax H3 selected crashed the panel (the H3 profile's fps was stored as a scalar; preflight expects a list). Every profile is now schema-tested so this class of bug can't ship again.
- New: choose the target model per shot right in the spec bar, next to length, fps, and lenses. The brain writes and enriches prompts in that generator's dialect from the first draft — not just at compile time — and Deliver follows the same choice.
Slate v0.2.0
Slate v0.2.0 — local model brains and official prompt grammars.
Install (macOS, one line):
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wassermanproductions/slate/main/install.sh | bashNew in this release:
- Local model brain (offline). Alongside Claude Code and Codex, Slate now runs on any OpenAI-compatible local server — Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM, llama.cpp, KoboldCpp, Jan, and friends. Slate auto-detects the common ports, lists whatever models you have loaded, and never sends a byte off your machine. Vision-capable local models power the reference breakdowns.
- MCP brain control. New MCP tools:
brain_status,list_local_models, andset_brain— agents can inspect and switch a project's brain, including to a local endpoint and model. - Seedance 2.5 (Dreamina) official grammar. Compiles use the published core formula, @-role reference binding, [Stage] blocks for long shots, and the ()/<>/{}/【】 audio syntax.
- MiniMax H3 official grammar. Compiles use the published three-field format,
[Shot N]markers withMM:SS.SSStimestamps, the official camera vocabulary with amplitude/speed modifiers,(Sx)speaker ids with<d>[Language]</d>dialogue, and the full reference-label system — beat sheets now compile straight to H3 shot markers.
Requires macOS (Apple Silicon). ffmpeg (brew install ffmpeg) enables clip ingestion. Open source under Apache-2.0.
Slate v0.1.0
The first release of Slate — the prompt studio for AI filmmaking.
Install (macOS, one line):
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wassermanproductions/slate/main/install.sh | bashPlan shots scene by scene, keep characters, locations, and look consistent, direct coverage, music, and voices with a local AI brain (your own Claude Code or Codex sign-in — no API keys), and compile production-ready prompts for Seedance, Kling, Veo, Midjourney, Flux, Suno, ElevenLabs, and more. MCP server built in.
Requires macOS (Apple Silicon). ffmpeg (brew install ffmpeg) enables clip and audio reference analysis.
