Sayso 0.3.0
Sayso is a voice dictation app for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Press a key, speak, and the text lands in the app you are using. Speech-to-text runs on your computer.
New in 0.3.0
- Windows. Sayso runs on Windows 10 (version 1809) or later and on Windows 11, on a 64-bit Intel or AMD processor. The default toggle key is Ctrl+Space.
- Linux. Sayso runs on x86_64 and aarch64, with X11 or Wayland. The default toggle key is Ctrl+Alt+Space. docs/linux.md lists what works on each desktop.
- Updates. Sayso looks for a new version when it starts and one time each day. Settings › General, the Hub sidebar, and the Popover show a newer version. To stop the checks, turn off Settings › General › Check for updates.
- On macOS, Sayso installs the update itself, at the next start or with Restart to update. It checks the download against a signed manifest, and it checks the Developer ID signature and the notarization of the new app. Install updates automatically downloads the update without a question.
- On Windows and Linux, Sayso shows the new version and opens the download page.
- Hotkeys. A hotkey that you cleared stays cleared after a restart.
Sayso 0.2.0 has no update check. Install 0.3.0 by hand one time, and later versions come through the app.
