Customise font settings

We cannot change the font of the terminal for now.

Describe the solution you'd like

The key words "MUST", "MUST NOT", "REQUIRED", "SHALL", "SHALL NOT", "SHOULD", "SHOULD NOT", "RECOMMENDED", "MAY", and "OPTIONAL" in this document are to be interpreted as described in RFC 2119.

• Being able to customise the font style [1]
  • MUST font-family
  • MUST font-size
  • MUST font-weight
  • SHOULD font-ligatures
  • MAY font-variant
  • MAY font-feature-settings
• Being able to customise the font layout [1]
  • MUST line-height
  • SHOULD letter-spacing
  • SHOULD word-spacing

This should apply to wave as we are using Electron.

Thanks for submitting. The font-style requirements seem straightforward, but the font layout attributes feel like they might be a bit tricky. word-spacing in particular will probably not work (because each column in the terminal must be fixed width).

It is important to use one single font for all your coding to focus on the code and not on the font.

For the comments: you can change the font by doing this: /client:set termfontfamily="My Nerd Font Mono" I can see the nerd fonts.

I am not interested in setting a specific font for my terminal. Rather, Wave does not currently adhere to my system font, so I want to do that.

In Warp, I get around this by setting an alias in FontConfig, then setting my DE's fonts (the values in kcm_fonts) to that alias, and then setting Warp to that alias too, so that I don't rely upon it integrating with my DE. As long as I can set the terminal font to an fc-alias in Wave, that's good enough for me.

I am not sure, why this is marked as legacy. If I am correct only font family and font size can be changed in the current version.
