Sandbox testing release

This release is for Sandbox testing only. Classic checkout and WooCommerce Checkout Blocks sandbox payments have been exercised on Waypoint’s staging store. Live WiPay processing has not been tested. Do not switch this release to Live or use it to accept real payments.

Included

  • WooCommerce hosted checkout support for classic checkout and Checkout Blocks.
  • Server-side WiPay response hash verification against the order total recorded when checkout starts.
  • Sandbox configuration instructions in the README and WordPress plugin readme.

Tester notes

  • Enable the gateway and keep Environment set to Sandbox. Use WiPay’s published sandbox test account and response-verification key.
  • Test successful and declined/failed sandbox payments on your own store.
  • Refunds are not automated; handle them in the merchant’s WiPay account and record them in WooCommerce manually.
  • Order email delivery depends on each store’s WordPress/WooCommerce mail setup and should be tested separately.

Live configuration and production use require a separately verified release.
