DataHop 0.1.0-beta.6 brings the merged desktop UI improvements to Apple silicon
and Intel Macs.

What changed

• Refreshed typography, shared controls, spacing, and light/dark theme contrast.
• Simplified table browsing with Filter, Sort, and View panels, grouped Structure
  views, clearer filter creation, and direct recovery of hidden columns.
• Reworked the record inspector with a single scrolling layout, clearer
  relationship labels, compact technical details, and unclipped value actions.
• Improved the SQL workspace with adjustable editor/results space, concise result
  summaries, a compact Run all menu, and searchable history with expandable entries.
• Reorganized connection setup around host, database, and credentials, followed by
  optional metadata; unnamed connections use the database name.
• Improved keyboard focus and Escape behavior, Browse activation, command palette
  ordering, and compact layouts while preserving production and transaction warnings.

Applications. Both builds are Developer ID signed and Apple notarized.

Beta.4 and beta.5 users can use DataHop's in-app updater. Users on beta.3 or earlier
must install this release manually once to enable in-app updates. ZIPs, blockmaps,
and beta-mac.yml are included for updating; SHA256SUMS.txt lists artifact
checksums. Windows and Linux artifacts are not included.

Validation

The release command requires formatting, lint, TypeScript, unit and release-tool
tests, the dependency license audit, production build, PostgreSQL and SSH
integration tests, and the catalog memory benchmark to pass before uploading.
It verifies package contents, Electron fuses, updater feed and hashes, code
signatures, Gatekeeper acceptance, and stapled Apple notarization tickets for
both macOS architectures. Uploaded asset sizes and SHA-256 digests are checked
before publication.

The merged UI changes include native Electron verification against local
PostgreSQL fixtures, with evidence in the source repository's UI verification
documents. Native Intel hardware validation and a complete version-to-version
updater installation have not been performed for this release.

DataHop 0.1.0-beta.5 is a macOS beta for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

What changed

• Load catalog columns, relationships, and object details on demand, reducing the
  work needed to connect to large PostgreSQL databases.
• Keep verified connections usable when catalog loading fails, with recovery and
  progress handling that preserve established and deferred connections.
• Improve transaction handling and cache consistency during lazy catalog loading.

DataHop 0.1.0-beta.4 is a macOS beta release for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

What changed

• Download and install future updates from within DataHop, with explicit restart and guards for active database work and unsaved grid edits.
• Run selected SQL text before falling back to the statement at the cursor.
• Open tables in SQL without internal grid query clauses.
• Reclaim inactive SQL connections while preserving editor text and displayed results.
• Keep filters collapsed when sorting columns, and clarify connection safety and credential-saving controls.

DataHop 0.1.0-beta.3 is a signed and notarized macOS private-beta release for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

What changed

• PostgreSQL connections now share a bounded application-wide capacity budget, with cancellation headroom and guarded SQL transaction lifetimes.
• Production profiles now require verified TLS by default, start read-only, and use conservative connection, query, count, and export limits.
• SQL results, notices, and table exports have deterministic row, byte, time, and concurrency limits with safe cancellation and partial-file cleanup.
• Large catalogs now load through bounded streaming and background enrichment; heartbeat checks reuse existing control connections and back off while idle.
• Navigation and layout refinements keep the row inspector in-bounds, improve progress timers and automatic column sizing, and support mouse back/forward buttons.
• The app now includes a direct link for reporting beta issues.

DataHop 0.1.0-beta.2 is a signed and notarized macOS private-beta release for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

What changed

• Recent SQL history now retains only the latest run for each query tab.
• The selected-row inspector stays scoped to the active table and occupies its intended grid space.
• Ordinary table tabs and preset-backed tabs no longer collide during navigation.
• macOS protected-credential access is deferred until credentials are first read or saved.
• Sorting remains available while a table load is in flight and safely supersedes the active query.
• Grid columns auto-fit headers and retained values while respecting explicit user widths.
