DirectX API error on Radeon 860M GPU

This error occurs in 1.4.0 and 1.4.1
I can open 1.3.6 but it renders everything black

For version 1.3.6, the following settings may allow you to see the image:
a) Deselect the "Counter" in the "View" menu.
or
b) Select any "Background image", in the "Graphic" menu.

I have installed it but the same error message is still there. It can be a hardware specific issue.

I have a similar problem. I've changed Miditrail versions, reinstalled Directx twice, but this error is stable on two PCs with Windows-7x64. What should I do? Video-cards: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660

Enabling Aero in Windows 7 might resolve the issue.
