Ready-to-run .dmg for Intel Macs on the current chidiwilliams/buzz codebase (upstream dropped Intel after the Python 3.13 / torch upgrade).

Buzz.appto Applications
Unsigned build: on first open, right-click → Open.
First launch
Cold start can take a while: on first run the app may download extra plugin dependencies (e.g. speech-extraction / DeepFilterNet) into ~/Library/Caches/Buzz/. Later launches are much faster. Whisper models are downloaded separately when you select them, not on every startup.
What’s in this release
- Restored Intel (x86_64) macOS support on the modern Buzz tree
- Build env via pixi + conda-forge (PyPI has no torch wheels for darwin/x86_64)
- Dependencies bundled with PyInstaller (
Buzz.app→ unsigned DMG) - Automatic OpenMP workaround (
KMP_DUPLICATE_LIB_OK) so Faster Whisper works without manual env vars - Fixed scipy / transformers import failure in the frozen app
- Removed the Faster Whisper UI gate on Intel
