Crona v1.10.0-beta.1

Crona v1.10.0-beta.1 adds ad hoc timers with end-of-session attribution and configurable management of completed session history.

Session history

  • The Manage History setting enables editing and deleting completed sessions from their detail view.
  • The History Edit Window setting controls how far back sessions can be changed, up to five days.
  • Session edits use structured fields for dates, summaries, notes, and work/break segments.
  • The daemon enforces the configured history window and preserves existing markdown sections during edits.
  • History editing preserves seconds and fractional timestamp precision, stores UTC timestamps, and recalculates duration from edited segments.
  • Use Ctrl+A to add a history segment and Ctrl+D to remove one; ordinary text entry remains available in summary and notes fields.
  • History edits and deletions refresh issue totals and dashboard summaries, and emit session.history_changed for other clients.

Ad hoc timers

  • Start an ad hoc stopwatch, countdown, or Pomodoro with Shift+A from the session view or a supported issue workspace, without selecting an issue. The active repo, stream, and issue context stays unchanged.
  • When finishing, attach the session to an existing issue, create a new issue, or keep it as ad hoc.
  • The existing-issue picker has Due today, Overdue, Pinned, and All tabs, scrolling for large lists, assigned dates, and a visible selection position.
  • Create an issue and finish the session in one form, with repo and stream pickers, today's date, and an estimate rounded up to a 15-minute increment from elapsed time.
  • Keep ad hoc creates a visible Done issue in Ad hoc / Sessions, assigned today and titled from the session summary, shortened when necessary. These records contribute to summaries and scoring.
  • Press e on an ad hoc issue or its detail view to convert it to a regular issue in a chosen repo and stream. Conversion preserves its identity, completed status, original date, and session history.

TUI fixes

  • Ad hoc confirmations show the selected destination and elapsed time, with action labels that explain what saving does.
  • Canceling ad hoc issue creation returns to the attribution choices.
  • Required session summaries and commit messages are validated before submitting, keeping the dialog open when empty.
  • Short-terminal forms keep the active field, submission controls, and inline errors visible.
  • Conversion uses its own save action rather than issue-creation follow-up shortcuts.
  • Ordinary issue creation remains available while an ad hoc timer is running.
  • Both session and timer completion enforce ad hoc attribution; invalid issue selections leave the active work segment recording.

Compatibility

The local IPC protocol advances to 1.6 for ad hoc timer requests, attribution on timer completion, the adhoc issue and timer-state fields, and issue.promote_adhoc. Clients must check kernel.info.get and require protocol 1.6 or newer before using these capabilities. Ordinary issue-backed workflows retain their existing contract.

Existing databases are migrated automatically to include session history settings, reserved storage markers, and the ad hoc issue flag. Internal pending records stay hidden from normal repository APIs; retained ad hoc issues remain visible and can be converted.
