Quest Log v0.0.4 — Polish, Themes & Smart Sorting
Welcome to Quest Log v0.0.4! This update focuses on deep visual immersion, improved backlog organization, and language consistency across the entire application interface.
What's New
🎨 Tinted Immersive Themes
To make the customization options truly stand out, alternate themes now tint the entire window environment while preserving the premium dark-mode aesthetic of Quest Log:
- Emerald Theme: Tinted deep forest green background (
#040d09) with matching card headers. - Blue Theme: Tinted dark ocean blue background (
#030814) with matching card headers. - Rose Theme: Tinted deep magenta/violet background (
#0e0509) with matching card headers. - Note: The default Violet/Indigo theme remains completely untouched and pristine.
📊 Smart Sorting (Backlog & Completed)
We replaced the generic platform and genre sorting filters with two gameplay-focused sorting metrics to help you manage your library on a single line:
- Unlocked achievements: Sorts your games by the number of achievements you've unlocked (highest first).
- Playtime: Sorts your games by the cumulative time spent playing them (highest first).
- Note: The "By rating" filter remains active and available for your Completed games.
🏆 RPG Rarity Sorting
In the game details modal, unlocked achievements are now sorted by rarity (Legendary > Epic > Rare > Common) and grouped at the very top. Locked achievements remain in their original order below, making it much easier to admire your most prestigious gaming feats.
🌐 UI Clean Up & Complete Translations
- The Add Game sidebar button language loading bug has been fixed.
- 100% Dynamic Bilingual Notifications: All in-app toasts (level ups, game launch alerts, backup exports/imports, update progress, etc.) are translated in real-time between French and English based on your settings.
- Emoji Outline Policy: We replaced or removed native color emojis in text labels with white outline SVG icons to enforce a cleaner, premium design system.
Installation / Update
- Launch Quest Log.
- Go to Settings (Gear icon) -> Software Updates.
- Click Check for updates to download and restart!
