v0.0.06
Release v0.0.6
New Features
- Auto Clicker (Click In Place):
- New "Add Click (In Place)" action in the Macro Editor — clicks at the current cursor position instead of requiring stored coordinates.
- Configurable mouse button (Left, Right, Middle) and click type (Single, Double).
- Combine with a Delay action and Infinite Loop playback to create a fully configurable auto clicker, all within the existing macro system.
- Works on both Linux (Evdev/UInput) and Windows (Pynput).
v0.0.05
Release v0.0.5
Improvements & Fixes
- Macro Reliability:
- Macros now wait for physical keys to be released before firing (1.0s timeout) to prevent modifier interference (e.g., unintended combinations like Ctrl+C when holding Ctrl).
- Explicit software release of modifiers (Shift, Ctrl, Alt, Cmd) before each macro execution.
- Keybind Engine:
- Moved bind checks to the key release event for more consistent behavior.
- Wayland / Linux Setup:
- Shifted to
uaccess-basedudevrules for device permissions, removing the need for manually managinginput/uinputgroup membership.
- Shifted to
- Input Engine:
- Added
get_current_positionmethod toPynputEnginewith fallback topyautogui.
- Added
v0.0.04
Release v0.0.4
🚀 Wayland Support & Stability
This release brings full compatibility for Wayland sessions on Linux, removing previous input simulation restrictions.
- Native Wayland Support: Implemented
EvdevEngineto bypass security restrictions via/dev/inputand/dev/uinput. - Absolute Mouse Synchronization: Implemented hardware-level injection for both moves and clicks. This ensures pixel-perfect accuracy on high-resolution Wayland environments.
- Automatic Engine Selection: Intelligent fallback between
evdev(Wayland/Linux) andpynput(X11/Windows). - Enhanced Stability: Added a "Heartbeat" mechanism to automatically restart input listeners if they become unresponsive.
🛠 Enhancements
- Input Handling: Abstracted input logic into a flexible
InputEnginearchitecture. - Project Organization: Cleaned up the
scripts/directory and moved essential verification tools to a newtests/directory. - Build System: Resolved Linux binary build failures by including
fix_wayland_permissions.shscript in the distribution.
📦 Installation & Setup (Linux)
Important: Wayland support requires kernel-level permissions.
-
Install Dependencies:
# Sets up libraries, groups, and udev rules ./scripts/install_linux.sh -
Grant Permissions:
If the installer didn't handle it or you prefer manual setup, run:./scripts/fix_wayland_permissions.sh
Log out and back in for group changes to stay active.
-
Run:
# For the pre-compiled release: cd dist/release sudo ./install.sh ./XvG-AutoKeybind
v0.0.3
Release v0.0.3
🐧 Linux Support & Compatibility
- Native Wayland Detection: The application now detects Wayland sessions and warns users about compatibility issues with global input.
- Dependency Checks: Added startup checks for
xdotoolto ensure input simulation works correctly. - Improved Documentation: Updated README with specific instructions for Ubuntu/Linux users regarding X11 sessions and permissions.
- Linux Binary Release: This release includes a standalone Linux binary for easier distribution.
🛠 Enhancements
- Release Script: Updated build and release scripts to support Linux-only environments and CI/CD workflows.
- Error Handling: Better error messages for missing system dependencies.
📦 Installation (Linux)
- Download
XvG-AutoKeybindfrom assets. - Make it executable:
chmod +x XvG-AutoKeybind - Run it:
./XvG-AutoKeybind
Note: Ensure you are in an X11 session.

🚀 New Features
Macro Suite
- Complex Macros: Create sequences of actions including Clicks, Keypresses, Delays, and Text Typing.
- Macro Editor: A dedicated UI to build, reorder, and save your action sequences.
- Auto-Typer Integration: Add text actions within macros with advanced delay configurations:
- Static Delay: Fixed time between keystrokes.
- Random Delay: Human-like typing with variable delays (Min/Max).
Safety & Stability
- Global Kill-Switch: Press
Ctrl + Alt + Kto immediately stop all running macros and close the application. - Esc Interruption: Pressing
Escwhile a macro is running will also trigger the emergency stop.
User Interface
- Top-Level Windows: "Manage Binds" and Editor windows now stay on top of the main application.
- Improved Layout: Better button visibility and resizing behavior.
Automation & Deployment
- Cross-Platform Build Scripts: New scripts in
scripts/for building Windows and Linux binaries. - Installer Automation: Automated Inno Setup installer creation via scripts.
- Publishing Workflow: Unified scripts to tag and publish releases to GitHub.
🛠 Fixes & Improvements
- Fixed Z-Order issues where popup windows would appear behind the main window.
- Refactored internal action handling for better performance and stability.
- Added Linux binary support for cross-platform usage (via WSL build).
- Improved error handling for missing dependencies during startup.
