the first release of baritoad: karaoke for the songs nobody made a karaoke version of.

drop in a song you have. baritoad turns the singer down, times the lyrics word by word, and puts them on your tv. friends pick songs from their phones. free, open source, and it all runs on your computer.

install

• windows 10 or 11, 64-bit: download baritoad_1.0.0_x64-setup.exe below.
• the installer isn't signed yet, so windows may warn you: more info → run anyway.
• the first start downloads about 2 GB of models. they run locally, on your computer.
• a graphics card helps a lot. one 3:15 song took 17 s on an rtx 2080 super and 1 min 54 s on the cpu alone (i7-9700k).
• mac & linux later. there's no auto-update yet, so new versions will show up here.

it's not studio karaoke. sometimes you'll still hear a little of the original singer. english songs work best.

the demucs separation weights are, per their author, for research use (model licenses).
