Install Ubuntu / MacOs

All our work will be done in a Linux environment unless windows is needed, thus you need to set up Ubuntu in your machine for all further work at whizedin.

Steps to Install Ubuntu - Single Boot

  • Download the latest Ubuntu ISO image.
  • Burn the ISO image in an external drive using some ISO Burner Application. We recommend Active@ISO Burner or All free ISO Burner
  • Reboot your machine, format your storage disks to remove all other files and OS from your machine and follow the booting steps for Ubuntu as recommended.
  • Once the booting is complete you are now ready to use Ubuntu for all further developments.

Steps to Install Ubuntu with Windows - Dual Boot

  • Download the latest Ubuntu ISO image.
  • Burn the ISO image in an external drive using some ISO Burner Application. We recommend Active@ISO Burner or All free ISO Burner
  • If on windows, go to Computer Management > disk management console. And un-allocate some space for Ubuntu to be installed. You might have to delete one or two partitions to get the unallocated space. Somewhere approx 120-200GB is what we recommend you to un-allocate for Ubuntu to get installed and run things smoothly.
  • Reboot your machine, format your storage disks to remove all other files and OS from your machine and follow the booting steps for Ubuntu as recommended. Please check for dual boot option while installing Ubuntu for the first time.
  • Once the booting is complete you are now ready to use Ubuntu for all further developments.

MacOs

  • You don't have to install Ubuntu on MacOs as MacOs is itself Linux based. So you just need to make some space free and you are good to go. Please keep somewhere around 150Gb space free for all further developments on Mac.
