Choose a tag to compare

  • A producer credit now goes into the MP3 itself, in the same place other taggers and players read it from. It survives a rebuilt library and it travels with the file wherever you copy it, instead of only existing inside this app.
  • FLAC, Ogg and M4A are read but not written yet. A credit already put into one of those by another tool gets picked up when the library is scanned. A credit you type on one of those tracks still lives in the app for now, and the app tells you that rather than letting you believe the file was changed.
  • If you were crediting producers before this, those credits are still held by the app. Settings, Library, Scanning, "Write producer credits to files" walks them into your files. It says how many it is about to rewrite and waits for you to agree, and running it a second time is harmless.
  • Importing a sync file no longer drops track edits. An edit was filed against the exact spelling of the path the other PC sent, so when two machines wrote the same file slightly differently, a lowercase word in a folder name or a curly apostrophe, the edit landed on nothing at all and the import still said it worked. Producer credits made it obvious, because they had nowhere else to live. Re-import your sync file and the missing ones come back.
