  • Retagging an .ogg or .opus was silently doing nothing whenever the file already had that field. A new title, artist, album, year, genre or track number was accepted, the file was rewritten, the app said it worked, and the old value was still there afterwards. Only a field the file had never carried would take. Anyone with Ogg or Opus in their library should re-apply edits made to those tracks, because they did not land.
  • Producer credits now go into FLAC, Ogg and Opus files as well as MP3s, so the credit travels with the file to any other player.
  • M4A files cannot hold a producer credit. There is nowhere in their tags to put one, so the credit stays in the app and saving one now tells you that instead of leaving you to assume the file changed. Everything else about an M4A still writes normally.
