First release of ANF Validator, a VS Code extension that validates Apple News Format article.json files.

  • JSON Schema validation against ANF 1.26 (required fields, types, formats, component roles)
  • Cross-reference checks for textStyle, layout, and style refs that point to missing entries
  • Re-validation whenever article.json changes on disk: editor saves, build scripts, git checkouts
  • URL reachability warnings for image and media URLs (turn off with anfValidator.checkUrls)
  • Diagnostics show in the Problems panel with line positions and suggested fixes
