v1.0.0 - Fixed Daily Consumption & Seasonal Tracking
🐛 Bug Fixes
Fixed Daily Consumption Calculation
- Fixed critical bug where daily consumption was incorrectly calculated when the integration updated more frequently than tank level changes
- The integration now only updates the timestamp when the tank level actually changes, ensuring consumption is correctly spread across the actual time period between level changes
- Example: If tank drops 200L over 5 days, daily consumption now correctly shows 40 L/day instead of incorrectly showing 200 L/day
✨ New Features
Rolling Average Consumption
- Added 7-day rolling average for daily consumption to smooth out variations and provide more accurate trends
Seasonal Consumption Tracking
- Track and analyze consumption patterns by season (Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn)
- View seasonal statistics including average, minimum, and maximum consumption per season
- Monthly consumption averages for detailed trend analysis
- All seasonal data is persisted and survives restarts
🔧 Improvements
- Consumption history is now persisted in storage
- Enhanced logging with seasonal context for better debugging
- More accurate 'Days Until Empty' calculations based on rolling average
📊 What This Means For You
After updating:
- Your daily consumption readings will be much more accurate
- You'll see consumption smoothed over 7 days instead of spiky data
- You can track how your oil usage varies by season
- The integration will remember your consumption history across restarts
Note: You may want to reset your consumption data after this update using the boilerjuice.reset_consumption service to get a fresh start with the corrected calculations.
