  • In-app JIT: no StikDebug needed. Madeira can enable JIT by itself through a bundled helper built on StikJIT. On iOS 27 it pairs with the iPhone it runs on: in Settings › Privacy & Security › Developer Mode, tap Pair with Madeira and enter the PIN Madeira shows. No computer needed. On iOS 26, import a pairing file instead. The pairing is kept in the Keychain. StikDebug still works. (#127)
  • Play turns JIT on for you. If JIT is off, Play enables it and then starts the game. The button reads Starting JIT meanwhile.
  • Madeira JIT shortcut (iOS 27, optional). LocalDevVPN's loopback does not work over cellular data. The shortcut connects LocalDevVPN, turns Cellular Data off when there is no Wi-Fi, and puts both back once the game has started, along with any VPN you were using. Add it during setup or in Settings › JIT.
  • Steam Cloud saves for installed Steam games, on by default. Saves sync before and after you play, and the cloud copy is backed up before it is replaced. (#130)
  • A controller as keyboard and mouse, chosen per game, with a Controller binds page. DirectInput is now a per-game choice too. (#128)
  • Setup starts by installing LocalDevVPN when it is missing. It opens once more after this update, so you can pick one of the new JIT options.

Fixed

  • Games start faster: Wine starts as soon as the wineserver is ready, not after a fixed 2 s. (#125)
  • Cuphead (#107), Nine Sols (#108) and Hades II (#119, #120) now run, and Steam app info with escaped quotes is read correctly (#118).
  • JIT errors now explain the problem and offer a fix: Pair Again or Connect LocalDevVPN. The error also shows on the Settings tab.

Known issues

  • With Wi-Fi and Cellular Data both off, LocalDevVPN cannot connect, so JIT cannot be enabled, even with the shortcut. Connect LocalDevVPN while a network is available.

Install

  • Requires iOS 26 or later. In-app pairing and the Madeira JIT shortcut need iOS 27.
  • If your sideloader asks whether to keep app extensions, keep them: Madeira's in-app JIT runs in one.
  • The IPA is ad-hoc signed (no certificate) and carries the app's entitlements, including the increased memory limit. Sideload it with your own Apple ID (SideStore, AltStore, Sideloadly, Plume or similar), which signs it for your device.
  • First-run setup walks you through JIT. Settings shows JIT and Memory+ with green checks and says Ready to play.

The Microsoft Visual C++ runtime DLLs are not redistributed (see legal/THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md). Building from source: tools/fetch-vcruntime.md.

Thanks to Dan Perks (@danperks) for in-app JIT and pairing, Jesse (@JesseLovelace) for Steam Cloud saves, faster launches and the game fixes, and Nick (@125hz) for keyboard-and-mouse controllers.
