Network Connectivity Testing Lab

This lab was done in class and took place on a windows 10 vm.

Part 1

make sure windows fire wall is off at the start of lab and turned back on when completed

• ran ipconfig & ipconfig /all
• documented
  • ipv4 address
  • subnet mask
  • default gateway
  • mac address
  • DNS Servers
• tested a ping against the default gateway & google.com

Part 2

• ran tracertto google.com
  • took 10 hops to get to
• ran nslookup
  • looked up bing.com and www.champlain.edu

completed lab.
