Looking for the most stable version?

Hello everyone. Rather than asking a question in this message, I have a question I'd like to ask Supermium users. Which of the versions released so far do you think is the most stable and smoothest? I'm currently using v126 r7. Do you have a recommended version?

I would say, if you don't like the cr23 new UI, just stay on the 126 version. The author of Supermium did make a lot of effort to try to restore the old UI, but the stupid changes Google made, is not something 1 or 2 developers could easily revert.
I'm personally using a chromium-based browser with the 118 version too. So far I haven't found any websites which could not be opened or loaded correctly, so just keeping using an old version would not be a big deal.

@erdemiri you could try a portable version Supermium to test out the newer version and not overwrite your current one. https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/supermium-portable

v124 R2 is the best version for me, everything newer has either performance issues or the UI got uglified by Google as @red0524zy said.

122/124 is the most stable recent-ish release with the least compromises and concessions. Each subsequent release accumulates more instability and problems.

How is it that goolag changed the GUI on the browser, I don't understand. Isn't the dev the one who decides how his browser looks?

Goolag just changed nazi YT's icons as well, & I can't stand them either. It looks like a 5th grader designed it.

The icons (as far as I can remember) have never been changed in all the years I've been using YT.

138 is currently in pre-release and I'm not probably used to using the new version (138) yet.

I'd like to try v124 R2 as my current v132 is a bit unstable. If I can find v124 R2, will installing it overide my current v132, and is there a way to install it so it won't overide the current one if that is so.

There are 2 methods.

The easiest would be using "chrome_plus (author: Bush2021)" to set v132 as a portable version (or moving the Data and Cache Files from C Disk if you wanna set v124 as a portable version). By using this way, you could install as many different versions as possible, and each version would have an individual data and cache directory.

The other one is to create a new shortcut of v124, and enter --user-data-dir=="dir" and --disk-cache-dir="dir2" (dir and dir2 are the new directories you would like to store your data and cache to) in the target field of the properties of your shortcut. Move your old data and cache files to the dir and dir2 you just entered. Check if the v124 shortcut works with all of your old data. If so, upgrade your v124 to v132. Now you have both two versions.

I highly recommend the 1st method, but you could not use chrome_plus, I'm afraid the 2nd method is the only choice.
