First release. Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge 21.1.x · no other mods required.

Marked a pre-release: the pet egg is intentionally held back, and shoulder perching still wants real play-testing.

What's in it

• The Robin — a Robinhood-green bird with parrot behaviour: flies, perches on your shoulder, sits when told, takes no fall damage. Tamed with wheat seeds (1 in 3), and unlike a parrot, a tamed pair can be bred. Spawns in forest biomes.
• Black Feather — dropped by the Robin, and the only feather the Hood Brush is built from.
• Hood Brush — feather + gold ingot + stick. Handles like the vanilla brush (64 uses, 4.8s a block) but uncovers a nautilus shell, an emerald, leather boots or a stone hoe.
• Suspicious gravel in ancient cities — 30% of the loose cobbled deepslate on their floors.

Loot is not farmable: player-placed suspicious blocks yield nothing, and an already-brushed block keeps what it rolled.

Work in progress

The pet egg block — three hatch stages, hatching in 30 minutes, 15 on wool, 5 on slime or honey — is built and verified but cannot be obtained. With one mob, and one that already spawns in the world, an egg for it would be a circular reward. It returns with the second pet.

Credits

Model geometry and bird calls derive from the Blue Jay in Alex's Mobs by Alexthe666, used under GPL-3.0 — which is why this mod is GPL-3.0 too. The geometry was rebuilt against vanilla's LayerDefinition, so there is no dependency on Citadel.
