• Update notifications — the installed app now checks GitHub Releases on launch and shows an in-app banner ("Get the update") when a newer version is out. No silent download or install.
• Boot splash — a theme-matched launch screen replaces the brief white flash on startup.
• Fixes — the canvas no longer runs away in height on Tailwind / runtime-CSS sites; the design-tokens palette now appears for any site (not only ones that declare :root tokens).
• Checksums — every download now ships a SHA256SUMS.txt so you can verify its integrity.
