Follow-ups just work. After codex, council or a search, saying "done" or "now add…" continues where you left off. No more canned "Cursiv online…" greeting in the middle of a conversation. codex uses your other AI options when the local one isn't ready. If Ollama stops seeing your downloaded models, Cursiv tells you, and Setup → Restart Ollama fixes it in one click. Coding models, right inside Cursiv. Open Setup (tray menu, or the launcher) and choose a coding model under Coding model. It downloads with a progress bar, with no command windows. The 7B model is recommended for most computers. The installer no longer opens any PowerShell windows, and Cursiv's coding council now works with whichever coding model you have. Cursiv's 8 phases now actually run on every message. It notices when you're stressed or rushed and keeps things short and gentle. If someone is in crisis, it shows real help lines (like 988) right away and answers with care. It formats how-to answers as steps and comparisons side by side, ends with a next step when you're working toward something, and suggests a break during long late-night sessions. Saved conversations. A sidebar on the left lists your saved conversations: click one to pick up where you left off, or + New chat to start fresh. Click 💾 Save to keep a conversation (it then stays up to date by itself). If you quit or switch with unsaved messages, Cursiv asks first. Resize it your way: drag any edge, click □ or double-click the title bar to maximize, F11 for full screen, ☰ to hide the sidebar. A council you can trust. When you're offline, the council goes straight to your local AI instead of failing on cloud services first. Local seats take turns, so they no longer time out, and a seat that hits a temporary problem tries again. Every seat now knows what Cursiv really is and says "I don't know" instead of making things up. After each answer, an Anchor check points out anything the council couldn't back up. Phone and computer, one conversation. Click the new 📱 at the top of Cursiv and type the code from the phone app's Link button. Answers finish their thought. Cursiv no longer cuts replies off mid-sentence. Instead of a length limit there's a time limit: after about 90 seconds Cursiv finishes the sentence it's on and stops cleanly. Just say continue for the rest.
