v0.1.16
Floating chat in landscape is now read-only, and you shape it in place. Drag the handle on its edge to make it wider or narrower. Tap that handle for a slider that sets how much video shows through, and a button to hide chat. The composer is gone from the floating column: it is for reading over the video, and typing still lives in the full chat.
Drops sign-in works again. Connect drops was failing for everyone with "invalid client" because Twitch closed the sign-in path the phone was using. The app now signs in the way the desktop does, through the Twitch page that already knows you. If you have approved StreamNook before, it connects without a prompt.
Signing in no longer strands you on the Twitch home page. If Twitch sent you to its home page after logging in instead of back to the code page, the sign-in window now returns you to the code page on its own.
Chat floats over the video in landscape. Turn the phone sideways and tap the chat button on the player: chat now sits over the picture instead of squeezing the video into a strip. Choose how see-through it is, how wide, and which side under Settings > Chat > Chat on your phone. Prefer the old split? "Beside the video" is still there.
Swipe to change brightness and volume. In landscape, drag up or down on the left half of the video for brightness and on the right half for volume. A small readout shows where you are. Brightness goes back to your normal setting when you stop watching.
See what someone has said. Tap a name in chat and their profile now lists their recent messages from this session, updating live while it is open.
A buzz when you are mentioned. Your phone vibrates once when a message says your name. Turn it off under Settings > Chat > Chat on your phone.
Open the app on your tab. Pick Following, Browse, Rewards or You as the start tab from the You screen. Back returns you there too.
