@wipodev wipodev released this 22 Jul 02:07
afc0bf7

Major release introducing a complete architectural refactor based on dynamic generation pipelines (templates.json) and isolated directory environments.

⚠️ Breaking Changes

  • Directory Structure Overhaul: Legacy layout replaced with specialized folders:
    • root/: Core workspace, Gradle wrapper, and root configurations.
    • src/: Shared Java templates (MainMod.java.j2) and mod assets.
    • projects/: Multi-version project configurations (build.gradle.j2).
  • Metadata Engine Migration: Replaced legacy versions.json with templates.json for orchestration and version_profiles.json for Minecraft technical specs.

✨ Key Features

  • Pipeline Execution Engine: Dictates file transformation, Jinja2 rendering, and multi-version looping directly from templates.json.
  • Universal Technical Mapping: Support for Minecraft/Forge releases (1.19.2 up to 1.21.x+).
  • Enhanced README Documentation: Complete architectural overview, structure guide, and LGPL v2.1 legal context.

🛠️ Ecosystem Compatibility

Designed to work out-of-the-box with EverMod CLI v3.0.0+.

@wipodev wipodev released this 12 Jan 23:53

[2.0.0] - 2026-01-12

Added

  • Added full compatibility with EverMod CLI 2.0.0 using a submodule-based EverMod integration.
  • Introduced template support for both standalone mods and workspace-based projects automatically detected by the CLI.
  • Enabled safer and always up-to-date EverMod usage through Git submodules instead of local copies.
  • Improved template context handling to match the new EverMod CLI rendering system.

Changed

  • Refactored all templates to remove legacy assumptions about locally embedded EverMod files.
  • Updated Gradle-related templates to align with the new submodule-based workflow.
  • Simplified template variables and structure to reflect the reorganized CLI codebase.
  • Improved generation of settings.gradle and project layouts under the new system.
  • Reorganized template files for better clarity and long-term maintainability.

Removed

  • Removed support for the legacy EverMod local installation workflow.

EverMod Template v1.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@wipodev wipodev released this 04 Nov 03:48

[1.2.0] - 2025-11-03

Added

  • Introduced pack.mcmeta.j2 dynamic template supporting all Forge versions up to 1.21.10.
  • Implemented automatic rendering of all templates (build.gradle, gradle.properties, MainMod.java, and pack.mcmeta) directly from versions.json metadata.
  • Added support for new min_format and max_format fields introduced in Minecraft 1.21.9+.
  • Expanded versions.json with detailed version metadata: forge_gradle, java_version, eventBus7, reobf, and more.
  • Enabled full synchronization between evermod-cli and evermod-templates repositories for seamless mod generation.

Changed

  • Refined pack.mcmeta description handling to follow Minecraft’s JSON text format evolution (from 1.19.2 plain text to 1.19.4+ JSON objects).
  • Unified version handling logic — templates now auto-adjust per version instead of requiring manual edits.
  • Optimized maintainability by consolidating all version-dependent structures into a single dynamic rendering system.
  • Improved EverMod CLI integration for automatic template resolution and context passing.

Evermod Template V1.1.0

@wipodev wipodev released this 04 Nov 03:47

[1.1.0] - 2025-11-02

  • Replaced per-version build.gradle files with a single parameterized template for automatic generation.
  • Updated versions.json structure to include expanded metadata (Java version, reobf, eventBus7, etc.).
  • Improved CLI integration — templates are now fully version-aware and self-contained.

Added

  • Introduced MainMod.java.j2 template with placeholders for mod_id, mod_group, and mod_authors.
  • Added support for rendering build.gradle, gradle.properties, and main mod class using Jinja2.
  • Included default mod structure templates: mods.toml, pack.mcmeta, LICENSE.txt, and Gradle wrapper files.
  • Implemented automatic generation of complete mod projects from a single universal template.

Removed

  • Deprecated individual build.gradle templates for each Forge version in favor of the unified Jinja2 template system.
