Releases: wjk/XcodeJDK

Version 1.1

@wjk wjk released this 13 Sep 15:25

This release includes one new feature.

The upstream OpenJDK binaries specify libjli.dylib in the JDK bundle’s Info.plist as the CFBundleExecutable. Therefore, CFBundle APIs that look up symbols from the main bundle executable reference libjli. However, Xcode does not permit the CFBundleExecutable to be changed from the name of the bundle. As a result, prior versions of XcodeJDK specified a non-existent file name, meaning that users who used the bundle to locate libjli would not find it, even though it is present in the same directory as in upstream OpenJDK. This release introduces a stub library that uses dyld magic to re-export libjli, so that users can look up JLI symbols in the bundle’s main executable and still find them.

Version 1.0.1

This release includes two minor changes to the merge-jdk.sh build script:

  • Use cp -c if possible to save disk space.
  • Use fgrep -q to avoid echoing grep outputs to the Xcode build log.

Initial release. This release is feature-complete; I do not anticipate making any changes to the code unless a bug is found, or to update the version number of the JDK downloaded.
