R CMD check warning when checking a package built using instantiate

I'm trying to build a package using instantiate, and I am receiving the following warning message from devtools::check():

checking compilation flags used ... WARNING
  Compilation used the following non-portable flag(s):
    ‘-Wno-deprecated-declarations’ ‘-Wno-ignored-attributes’
    ‘-Wno-sign-compare’ ‘-Wno-tautological-compare’
    ‘-Wno-unknown-warning-option’
  including flag(s) suppressing warnings

Any help on how to resolve this warning would be greatly appreciated.

Example code to reproduce the warning

The following steps can be used to reproduce the warning message:

1. create an example package using instantiate and configure it

instantiate::stan_package_create("example")
instantiate::stan_package_configure("example")

2. create a new R project in the directory "example" and open it
3. run the following R code to add a license (otherwise, R CMD check will give an error) and check

usethis::use_mit_license()
devtools::check() ## generate the warning message as described above
