Sidekey 1.0.0 — free desktop helper

Pairs with the Sidekey iOS app to turn your iPhone into a wireless keyboard, shortcut deck, trackpad, and mic for a computer you own — over your local Wi‑Fi.

• macOS — Sidekey-macOS.dmg (signed & notarized). Open the .dmg, drag Sidekey into Applications. On first launch, approve Accessibility in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, then reopen the helper.
• Windows — SidekeyServer-Windows.exe. Double‑click to run; if SmartScreen warns, choose More info → Run anyway.

The helper shows a QR code — scan it in the iOS app to pair. Everything stays on your local network; nothing is sent to us.

安装 · Install

macOS

1. 解压 Sidekey-macOS.zip，得到 Sidekey.app。
2. 右键点 Sidekey.app → 打开，在弹窗里再点一次「打开」（尚未公证，直接双击会被 Gatekeeper 拦）。
   Right-click Sidekey.app → Open, then click Open again in the dialog.
3. 若提示「已损坏/无法打开」，打开「终端」执行下面这行（把 .app 拖进来替换路径）再打开：
   xattr -cr /path/to/Sidekey.app
4. 首次运行：到「系统设置 → 隐私与安全性 → 辅助功能」勾选 Sidekey，否则无法注入按键/鼠标。
   Grant Accessibility access in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.

Windows

1. 双击 SidekeyServer-Windows.exe。
2. 若弹出 SmartScreen「Windows 已保护你的电脑」，点「更多信息」→「仍要运行」。
   If SmartScreen appears, click "More info" → "Run anyway".
