Much faster with years of data. Tested with ten years of events, habits and notes: typing in an event goes from up to 4 s to about 30 ms per key, switching views from about 1 s to 50 ms, opening quick add from about 3 s to 70 ms, and startup is 4× quicker. Sync saves after each edit in milliseconds instead of a third of a second.
Safer.
- The Mac app's page can only reach its own database, through a few fixed operations
- Quitting from the Dock, logging out or shutting down saves everything first
- A pinned file is only shown in Finder, never opened or run
- Calendar feeds can't stall the app with runaway repeat rules or huge files
- A flood of fake booking requests or poll answers can't freeze the app
- Records from other devices and backups are checked before use
Also
- Day columns stay right when you travel with the app open
- Daily snapshots on the Mac take about a twentieth of the space
- The iPhone app's first download is a quarter smaller
- A new website, with screenshots in light and dark

Fixes from an independent review of the whole app:
- Sync: edits made on two devices at once never undo each other; restoring or starting over never pushes deletions to your other devices; an interrupted join is finished properly; the sync data no longer grows with every deletion; offline edits go out as soon as the app opens
- Your Mac’s calendars: no more duplicates
- Repeating events, all-day events and exports are right in every time zone and across daylight-saving changes
- Scheduling links: a guest can’t jump the queue or flood a link
- Faster with years of data; safer crash recovery; keyboard and screen-reader access
