v1.0.0
70200ad

First public release — a privacy-first Twitch ad blocker for Chrome and Firefox.

Install

  • Chrome / Edge: download twitchshield-chromium.zip, unzip, then load the folder via chrome://extensions → Developer mode → Load unpacked.
  • Firefox: download twitchshield-firefox.zip and load manifest.json via about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox → Load Temporary Add-on. (Signed store builds coming to the Chrome Web Store and Firefox AMO.)

Highlights

  • Stream-level (SSAI) ad removal that runs entirely on your device — no backend, no telemetry.
  • Per-channel whitelist, blocked-ad counter, optional on-device diagnostics, and a mute-through-ad option.
  • Chrome + Firefox, Manifest V3, MIT-licensed.

See the CHANGELOG for full details.

Note: Twitch changes ad delivery frequently, so occasional ads may appear until the extension is updated. Not affiliated with Twitch Interactive, Inc.
