Community standards

There is a person behind every request—not a debate prompt, target, or backdrop for someone else’s anger. Many people who use this project have already had their names, belongings, bodies, or stories handled without permission. A careless joke, spam flood, or guessed location can create danger long after a post is deleted.

Ask yourself: would I say this to the person face to face, knowing they may be tired, frightened, or unable to answer? If not, rewrite it. The few seconds spent choosing dignity may be the difference between someone asking for help again and deciding that every system is unsafe.

Welcome

• Good-faith questions, respectful disagreement, accessibility feedback, and plain-language corrections.
• Voluntary lived experience without pressure to identify yourself.
• Practical offers that do not demand a story, money, personal data, or public gratitude.
• Reports of privacy risks, discrimination, bugs, and unintended consequences.

Not acceptable

• Spam, bot floods, repeated promotion, referral abuse, or deliberate derailment.
• Hateful or dehumanizing content, including racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, xenophobic, classist, or otherwise discriminatory language.
• Threats, harassment, stalking, intimidation, sexual attention, humiliation, or pile-ons.
• Doxxing or guessing/publishing names, faces, health details, recovery codes, immigration information, phone numbers, workplaces, shelters, encampments, or precise locations.
• Private screenshots, records, or “case studies” without informed consent.
• Impersonation, scams, coercive fundraising, malware, phishing, or requests for secrets.
• Using a person’s story to win an argument, score political points, attract attention, or invite strangers to investigate them.

If you are angry

Pause. Describe the concrete problem instead of attacking a person. Replace a demand for private details with a request for a safe public fact. If you made a mistake, correct or retract it without asking the harmed person to educate you in public. Leaving a conversation is a valid safety choice.

Moderation

Moderators may invite an edit, remove content, pause a thread, limit posting, or suspend an account. Threats, doxxing, hateful abuse, scams, and privacy exposure may be acted on immediately. Less urgent issues normally follow explain → correction → restriction. Appeals happen privately and must not repeat harmful material. Immediate danger belongs with emergency services, not a comment thread.

The project will not confuse visibility with help. People must be able to say no, correct the record, withdraw, and return safely. Winning an argument is never worth making someone less safe asking for help.
