UI is blank after first installation on AEM Cloud SDK and AEM RDE

ACM relies on RepoInit script to run some base permissions in AEMaaCS. Unfortunately in local SDK and RDE the RepoInit is NOT run until you manually re-start the instance.

I just checked fresh SDK ; launched AEM, installed just released 0.9.72 on it and it works without any issues:

so maybe on RDE only there is some problem...

I reported the Issue on the adaptTo Conference (in Person).

I did the following:

• I had my existing and running local AEM SDK
• I put in the pom.xml dependencies (0.9.72)
• I deployed into the instance (with mvn clean install -PautoInstallSinglePackage)
• The /acm page was empty (a white screen)
• Only after I restarted the SDK, everything worked as expected.

Probably because the the repoinit script only gets executed on startup of the SDK/Instance.
This might be an issue for the RDE as well, because on a deployment into the RDEs, the instance isn't restarting.

The solution IMHO might be as simple as extending the installation steps in the documentation to:

• Installation on local environments: Restart your instance afterwards
• Installation on RDE: Restart the instance afterwards with aio aem rde restart

ACM will now explicitly tell users that restarting the AEM instance is required if repo-init scripts appear not to have been executed yet.
