Ora 0.5.0 focuses on daily-use UX for both the native macOS app and the reference CLI.

Highlights:

  • Native macOS caption layouts: Bilingual, Translation Only, and Compact.
  • Room-aware VAD presets: Quiet Room, Meeting, Noisy Room, and Custom.
  • Faster translation workflow: copy current / last translation and export transcript history.
  • CLI upgrades: preflight readiness checks, microphone selection, demo mode, VAD room presets, and Markdown / TXT / JSONL / SRT session export.
  • Release packaging improvements: macOS Swift source is now tracked, and the dev run script rebuilds reliably after Swift file changes without killing the installed app.

Package verification:

  • Built as Ora 0.5.0 (build 5).
  • Signed with Developer ID.
  • Apple notarization accepted and stapled.
  • Gatekeeper assessment passed: Notarized Developer ID.
  • DMG GUI smoke-tested from the mounted release image.
