SPDFV 0.1.2 introduces secure in-app updates.

Highlights:

  • Native Check for Updates command powered by Sparkle 2.9.6
  • Optional automatic update checks using Sparkle’s standard macOS experience
  • EdDSA-signed update downloads served through a versioned appcast
  • Sandboxed update installation with embedded, signed Sparkle helper services
  • Release automation now generates the checksum and signed update feed

Requirements: macOS 14 or later.

The DMG is signed by X3N LLC, notarized by Apple, and includes a stapled notarization ticket. A SHA-256 checksum is attached alongside the download.

SPDFV 0.1.2 is the updater bootstrap release. Users on 0.1.1 must install this version manually once; future releases can be discovered and installed in app.

This remains a prerelease. Keep backups of important source documents while evaluating editing workflows.
