v0.1.4 — leadership voucher count
Chaindata fast-sync snapshots
Rolling RocksDB chaindata snapshots (chain data only — no keys). Restore into a node's state/db, then let it catch up the tip. See snapshot/README.
v0.1.3 — testnet v0.2.1 support + dashboard reliability
Dashboard reliability + testnet v0.2 / v0.2.1 compatibility, on top of v0.1.2.
Testnet v0.2.1 support
- Read node liveness from
cryptarchia_info.state— 0.2.1 moved it off the top-levelmodefield (Bootstrapping/Online), with a defensive fallback for older 0.2.0 nodes. - Parse v0.2 chain-leader proposal log lines; point the board at the standalone-0.2.1 node.
Reliability
- Self-heal a dirty-shutdown crash loop; portable paths in
run-node.sh. - Catch
TimeoutErrorin_serve_status/_network_infoso a slow node can't wedge the dashboard. - Cache the wallet balance to stop
/api/statusexhausting the thread pool.
Proposals & ops
- Read Block Proposals from journald when no file logs exist.
prune-logs.shscheduled compaction (replaces logrotate).- Node-dashboard migration guide for moving a node to an always-on server; circuits-symlink fix + project-knowledge docs.
v0.1.2 - Proposal panel and safe dashboard optimization
This release improves the local Logos node dashboard while keeping compatibility with the separate logos-node-visualizer workflow.
Highlights:
- adds a new Block Proposals panel to show recent local proposal activity
- shows recent proposal counts, non-empty proposals, 0-tx proposals, latest slot, latest block, and a recent proposals table
- safely optimizes dashboard memory behavior by bounding in-memory log indexing to recent files only
- switches dashboard log metadata parsing to line-by-line streaming instead of full-file reads
- caches proposal parsing separately and refreshes it on a slower cadence than the main status loop
- keeps raw node logs and dashboard-live-channels.json intact, preserving compatibility with /home/alisher/logos-node-visualizer
- documents the dashboard memory issue and proposal-panel plan in local notes for follow-up after the demo
Verification:
- dashboard status endpoint remains fast
- zone messages remain fast
- proposal endpoint is cached and fast in steady state
- dashboard process RSS dropped to roughly 24-30 MB after restart during verification
v0.1.1 - Cypherpunk dashboard theme
Release built from 7de1586.
Highlights since v0.1.0:
- Reworked the dashboard visual theme around cypherpunk black, gray, and green.
- Removed the remaining blue-toned backgrounds from logs and controls.
- Redesigned zone message bubbles into a cleaner three-line layout: channel, message, then timestamp/status/source metadata.
- Moved pending markers out of message text and into status metadata.
- Rendered live TUI messages as "live: TUI" or "pending: TUI" instead of redundant "live from TUI" text.
- Preserved existing dashboard functionality, polling behavior, publish/subscribe actions, and service setup.
Operational notes:
- Refresh http://127.0.0.1:8090/ after updating to pick up the new CSS/JS.
- Runtime state, artifacts, local configs, keys, and logs remain excluded from the release.
v0.1.0 - Dashboard and service improvements
Release built from df673e6, including all improvements since the previous push cc55ce4.
Highlights:
- Improved zone message display with readable fallback labels for raw/binary channel IDs instead of mojibake.
- Added full date + time rendering for zone messages where node log metadata is available.
- Changed zone message sorting to use full timestamp ordering, with stable fallbacks.
- Increased zone message preview length to the first 280 characters and preserved full text in hover/title.
- Simplified and reorganized dashboard zone-message frontend logic while preserving status cards, logs, channel tabs, subscribe, publish, and live TUI merge behavior.
- Optimized dashboard backend log metadata parsing with cached per-file metadata refreshes to avoid rescanning large node logs on every request.
- Reduced dashboard CPU/memory load and eliminated broken-pipe traceback spam from aborted browser requests.
- Added managed user systemd units for the node, dashboard, and zone-board.
- Added run wrappers for the blockchain node and zone-board tmux supervisor.
- Documented service installation and auto-restart behavior in the runbook.
Operational notes:
- The dashboard runs on http://127.0.0.1:8090/.
- The node API remains http://127.0.0.1:8080/.
- zone-board is supervised through tmux session "zone-board" by zone-board.service.
- Runtime state, artifacts, local live configs, keys, and logs remain excluded from the release.
