Christmas comes early 🎄

Christmas is coming early this year! I want to take a moment to thank the entire community for the incredible support, feedback, and donations over the past year. To celebrate, I am delivering what is arguably one of the best and most performant updates since the release of Status Card. Enjoy the speed!

Since becoming a dad recently, my coding time is rare and precious. If you enjoy this update and want to support my work (and my coffee consumption), a small donation would mean the world to me.

New Features 📰

  • GUI Card Picker: Added a user-friendly GUI card picker for popup cards. You no longer need to manually copy-paste YAML code; selecting custom cards for your popups is now much easier.
  • Custom CSS Support: Added a new CSS field in the editor. You can now inject custom CSS styles and animations directly to customize the look and feel of the card even further.

Changes 🎉

  • Performance Overhaul: A lot of work has been put into performance optimization to make the card feel snappier.
  • Optimized Re-renders: The card logic has been rewritten to ensure that only the specific entities which have been updated trigger a re-render. This drastically reduces the number of unnecessary re-renders and lowers CPU usage.
  • Faster Initial Load: Icons are now loaded directly. This results in a much quicker initial loading time when opening the dashboard.
