Release list
v1.0.0
The first public release of Lucid CV, a LuaLaTeX class for modern resumes that stay readable for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and PDF text extractors. The design is inspired by PlushCV; the back-end is built and tested around what extractors actually return.
Highlights
- Tested ATS compatibility. A test suite checks every phrase of a resume against 9 PDF/OCR engines in 13 configurations, including Poppler, MuPDF, PDFium, pdf.js, PDFBox and Tesseract OCR. The one-column variants extract completely and in document order in all 12 text-layer configurations. See the latest test report.
- PDF/A-2b and tagged PDF. Validated with veraPDF. Headings are tagged as
H2/H3, the photo is aFigurewith alternative text, and the title, author and subject are filled in from the header. - Parser-friendly typesetting.
- Word gaps are stored as real space characters.
- Icons extract as plain whitespace, never as stray letters.
- Contact values carry their full prefix, such as
github.com/you. - Right-aligned dates are tied to their entries by a dotted leader.
- Skill chips are tuned to survive OCR.
- One content file, several layouts. The same body is typeset in one or two columns, at regular or compressed density, by changing class options only.
- Customizable from the preamble. Accent color, margins, column ratio, font sizes and spacing can all be changed without editing the class.
- Header and entries.
- Predefined contact fields: email, phone, address, location, homepage, LinkedIn, GitHub and ORCID. You can also add custom fields with their own icons.
- Optional circular photo.
- Entries can be stacked or on one line, and can be grouped as sub-entries, such as several positions at one company.
- Skill chips, reference entries, dashed dividers and a Last update timestamp.
