Troubleshooting

waitReady() is false

  • Host pack not imported or not enabled on the world.
  • Host pack is older than this client (update Bedrock Registry).
  • This client is older than the host (update @mcbe-registry/client).
  • Script errors in the host (content log).

Content log: Bedrock Registry is outdated

The host is older than this client. Update the host pack.

Content log: This addon is outdated

The host is newer than this client. Update @mcbe-registry/client.

mcbe-ipc errors mentioning bedrockregistry

bedrockregistry is the host’s message namespace. “Not enough bytes” or duplicate fragments usually mean this client and the host are not a pair. Install current @mcbe-registry/client and a current host, then reload the world.

get / match / result return undefined

The host did not answer in time, or (for get only) the id is not in the catalog. Same host problems as waitReady when every call times out. Do not invent data.

Empty [] but host is up

Nothing matched that query. Check kind, ids, and (for recipes) that you sent inputs, grid, or pattern+key plus a station (block type id).

Drop-in bedrock-registry-client.js fails to load IPC

The mcbe-ipc pack build must sit next to it, named exactly mcbe-ipc.js. See Installation.

Two catalogs / weird results

Two host packs enabled, or a mod that copied the host’s scripts. Keep a single Bedrock Registry behavior pack.

Old @mcbe-reciperegistry/client

That package speaks reciperegistry.*. This host answers bedrockregistry.* (schema 5) only. Install @mcbe-registry/client instead.
